Why is an email address needed? Isn’t the service supposed to be anonymous?

Email addresses are required as an anti-bot measure against the creation of fake accounts. Email addresses aren’t verified, allowing you to use a burner or otherwise anonymous email platform. You'll just need the verification code during account creation, so be sure to enter in a real address.
